I had this idea in my head to do some plus size celebrity outfits of the day. So when I posted a poll to get some feedback about what you like and want to see more of from The Pretty Plus, I included Celeb Inspired Outfits to that list. As I had imagined, it was one of the highest chosen options.

This week, I am bringing an Amber Riley inspired outfit. Most people know her from Glee and if they follow any form of celebrity fashion news, you will know that Amber is continually awarded for being one of the best dressed. She is curvy and fabulous. If I could re-shape my body, I would totally choose her body shape. She’s a singing, dancing, awesome dressed machine and I’m so excited to show you my Amber Riley inspired outfit.

The military jacket is a real trend this season. They are comfortable and as a bigger girl, I know first hand that layering is what makes me feel most comfortable. Jackets can be very slimming, as when they are left open, they leave a vertical stripe down the middle! Always a plus!!

In Amber’s original outfit, she was wearing faux-leather leggings with peep toe booties. I opted to wear regular leggings and bring in the shininess of the faux leather by doing a boot to the knee. For me, it was more work appropriate and comfortable. I continue to copy her by doing a high bun (a regular hairstyle for me) and a natural face with a chic red lip.
