Being a victim of dry skin is rough. (Punny, huh?) But really, it is. It makes applying makeup an absolute terror. It makes you look like you have some sort of flaky disease. It’s just not cool, man. This year, one of the things I am trying to stay dedicated to is a nighttime routine which includes washing my face, moisturizing and applying lip balm. It’s improved the texture of my skin incredibly thus far, but I still have my dry moments.

Anyway, on to my opinion of the Glam Glow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment. To apply, you spread a thin layer of the serum-moisturizer feeling treatment on your face. You can leave it on for 10-20 minutes or overnight. I left mine on for 20 minutes, because I didn’t want it to get all over my bed since I move around so much at night. To remove, you simply wipe off with a tissue. The directions say you can massage the excess into your skin or rinse with water. I really tried to just rub it in, but it was feeling quite odd…so I rinsed it off and patted my face dry with a towel.

Before going to bed, I applied my Mary Kay night serum, Sephora Instant Moisturizer and Miracle Worker eye cream by Philosophy. I also applied some Josie Maran Algon Oil right to the middle of my forehead which is where I tend to be the most dry. When I woke up this morning, my skin was just a bit more supple than usual. It felt really nourished and moisturized.

I feel like this treatment may have had a better impact if I had not been taking such great care of my skin lately. I would definitely recommend this mask to anyone suffering from terminal dry skin. I think it would greatly help to use it 1-3 times per week. It is a bit pricey, but nothing to much. My small Sephora sample size will probably last for 2-3 uses because it only takes a tiny bit. I love the Super-Mud mask more, but this is great as well!
