Wikipedia says: 

Athleisure is a trend in fashion in which clothing designed for athletic workouts at a gymnasium, sometimes termed activewear, is worn outside of the gym to go to the office or shopping or other social occasions.

I’m a huge fan. I think there are a few things to get me to this point.

1. My husband and his cool casual attire and love for tennis shoes.
2. My quest for comfort in any and every form.
3. My thirst for leggings on the daily.
4. My old age and hope to still look trendy whilst running errands.

I think these are solid reasons athleisure is my new jam or my new normal, if you will.

I wore this outfit while “touristing” in Chicago last weekend. We were out walking all around the city, hitting up stores, eateries, tourist attractions- you name it! I am glad I was wearing my favorite Nikes, some leggings, and an athletic pullover hoodie (with my coat and scarf, of course!) What better place to wear athleisure than in a big city?!
