There has been a lot of talk on this blog about my morning routine. (Or lack thereof.) I just can’t really pull myself out of bed, even though I know the morning is a prime time to get so many things done. I figured I would provide this list of “ifs” to help motivate me to wake up and do these things! Just wake up already! It’s time to grab ahold of the mornings and use them for all they are worth!

If I were a morning person…

I would have a full face of makeup and perfectly styled hair.

I love the process of getting ready for the day, but for 5 out of 7 days, I don’t even get to enjoy it! I have to rush around, throw my hair up, hope that I have time for simple hygeine and STILL get to work RIGHT on time. Literally, no time to spare. I wish I could turn myself into a morning person to slow myself down, and yeah- take some more time getting ready in the mornings.

I would be more tidy.

One of the reasons for my new fascination with minimalism is that I tend to get messy. I want to cut out the junk and not have to worry about diving through it all to get to the things I really love. While this is ideal, I still have things I WANT to love instead of actually loving, and the amount of things I love should really be narrowed down too. When I am rushing to get ready in the morning, I throw clothes everywhere, leave little messes I wouldn’t otherwise, and sometimes I leave my garage door open. I just need some extra time, please, so I can keep my home tidy. (And so my husband doesn’t freak out from my messiness!)

I would have a good breakfast.

I’m talking smoothies, not a full English breakfast! I really think that for people on the go, breakfast smoothies are easy, portable, and provide nutrition for the day! They can be slowly sipped to keep you satisfied until lunch, which is a major key in my opinion!

On usual days, I have a few options for quick breakfasts, like Carnation Breakfast Essentials® ready-to-drink bottles and their new Grab-n-Go Protein Smoothies. My husband loves making the chocolate sugar free drink mix! My favorite, though, is when I have the time to make a smoothie using the Carnation Breakfast Essentials® drink mix.
