Daily healthy living can be tough! It’s hard to stay on track all the time and making good choices when the bad choices are there lurking at every corner. Literally! They are at all the convenience stores, your favorite restaurants, your friend’s homes, and of course we let it sneak into our homes too! I just think that balance is important, but also setting yourself up to excel instead of give in to temptations is just as important.

For this reason, getting your vitamins in to build up the nutrition level you have is very important. I use the Nature Made® Daily Diabetes Health Packs. They are the #1 Pharmacist Recommended Diabetic Multivitamin Supplement Brand. ǂ Each pack contains a key combination of essential nutrients for Diabetics. Nature Made® is my daily partner, and inspires healthy choices for a Diabetic to live a healthy lifestyle! †

My Sam’s Club Grocery Go-Tos:

Berries

Whether they are frozen or fresh, I love berries to add to an oatmeal, make a smoothie, or just enjoy as a refreshing treat. They are lower in sugar than many other fruits, so they are a better choice for insulin-resistant folk like myself.

Rotisserie Chicken

Who doesn’t love the ease of a rotisserie chicken?! At Sam’s they are absolutely delicious and completely affordable. I like to pick one up for dinners on a night I just don’t have time to cook. Honestly, I get at least one every time I go to the store, because they are awesome to cut up and portion for lunches throughout the week. Pop them on a salad, in a low-carb wrap, or just eat plain!

Cheese

Cheese is delicious, low in sugar, and high in protein, which is basically a dream! Sam’s has a lot of options for cheese, but I like to stick to a lower fat option. You do what is right for you and your diet, but cheese is a staple for me!

Veggies

Yeah, we all know we should eat more vegetables, but do we actually do it? The answer is no, but it should be yes! Sam’s has a great selection of fresh and frozen produce to take advantage of. Try working in a set salad day and making sure you serve a good, non-starchy vegetable with every meal. If you’re having trouble with still feeling hungry after eating, bulk up the vegetables!
