PLAID IS A COLOR, RIGHT? – PLUS SIZE OOTD

I don’t frequent many colors, as you all know. Although, as I am typing this, I am wearing the most amazing, way too over-sized pink, green, white & navy sweater from ASOS.  My other color exception is my trusty, plaid scarf. Granted, it’s tan and red, I get it. but it’s still much more bold than I usually wear!

If you’ve been following me for some years, you will know that I got my Burberry scarf when I was in London on my honeymoon. I was dying to have it, and I am so grateful to have a husband who appreciates my love for the city (since he planned the trip!) We had the BEST time there, an amazing time at the Burberry store, and I am grateful to have a timeless, USEFUL piece to commemorate our honeymoon.

When the theme of our office holiday party was announced PLAID, I realized right away that I would be rocking my scarf. I don’t think I brought it out to play AT ALL last year, so I was happy to pull it out and now I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a staple for this season since it goes SO WELL with my camel coat.

I want to take this time to remind you that mixing pieces that are designer with less expensive pieces is not only SMART, it’s functional. You can wear an outfit from Walmart, throw on your Burberry scarf or your Gucci bag, and BOOM. You’re a fashionista. You can find quality pieces anywhere if you look hard enough, but getting those statement or iconic pieces are important too. That’s where my scarf comes in, and I am so pleased with this purchase!

You can shop my look back at the top of this post if you missed it! If you’re looking for a more budget option, I’ve linked some similar scarves below!
