OH, HONEY… MY BABY SHOWER

My baby shower was a few months ago now, but I really wanted to share it with you guys! I loved having my closest friends and family all in one spot to celebrate our baby girl! I will be 37 week pregnant this week, so the reality is- she’ll be here any time! We finally began working on her nursery this week, so I’m excited to get that all done and share as well. It’s getting all too real, and I cannot even wait!

(Also can you EVEN with this FASHION BLOGGER onesie?! So fitting!)

If you know me personally, then you probably know that most of my close friends and family call me B. It was a natural transition to “dip” into a HONEY theme when thinking about our sweet girl, and my best friend really went over the top to make sure the shower was special and I couldn’t be more grateful!

A huge shout out to Micole, my mom, my Aunt Cheryl, Melinda, and my second mama Rhea for all the help in getting the shower together. I really didn’t have to lift a finger (but totally did because I can’t help myself.) Micole always knows how to capture a special moment for me, decorate it to my taste (only better,) and can host a mean party! I’m forever grateful! She even went ABOVE AND BEYOND and made this honey comb cupcake holder out of POPSICLE STICKS. Are you kidding me?! It’s perfection!

The treats were all super tasty, but these cookies are what dreams are made of. They’re made from scratch, the perfect amount of sweetness, and hand-stamped with love. Micole is basically Betty Crocker + Martha Stewart in one.

One of the sweetest moments of the shower is when my little bestie, Lola, did a slide show for me and the baby! She covered the moment I found out I was pregnant, to telling Brett, to picking a name (which she was kind of around for- we went to the library to look at name books together!) and then announcing the name and sharing how much our baby will be loved. She’s such a spunky lady and will be such a good big auntie to my girl. I loved the “slide show” and she kept trying to give it away to people as a “prize” but I kept telling her no….so I could keep it forever. <3

She then went Barbara Walters on my blog friends and made them question all their life choices and future plans. She’s got some personality, that’s for sure!

Of course, I didn’t get many pictures with everyone. I seriously intended to, but this mama was overwhelmed, sweating profusely, and just trying to juggle all the things. I honestly enjoyed chatting with everyone so much that after taking some initial snaps of decor, I put my camera and phone away and was in the moment. I couldn’t ask for more! (As always, I can always count on my friend Kelly to force a photo, so at least I have one with some friends. Also, she took the ones of me opening presents as well!)

Thanks again to everyone who came, who were unable to come but still showed so much love and support, and those who helped make the day so special for us! We were showered with so much goodness and love. Can’t wait for you all to meet her!
