AFTERNOON TEA & THE PERFECT MIDI

When your one of your blog besties invites you to tea, you pull out a floral dress that matches the teacups! I had just purchased this dress from Old Navy for $6 the week prior and KNEW it would be perfect for our trip to Tina’s Traditional Tea Room in Carmel, IN. (Linked similar dresses, but this specific one was a clearance rack special!)

If you have never had afternoon tea, you NEED to get to Tina’s. I’ve had the luxury of having tea at Kensington Palace (The Orangery) and even at the Ritz in London, as well as many tea rooms around Chicago, so I consider myself QUITE the afternoon tea connoisseur. Tina’s Traditional was a super pleasant experience, and I cannot wait to take more friends with me back for another time.

I had an absolute BLAST with Kelli from Big Hair and Foodie Fare, and our amazing photographer friend, Kaylee, of Kaylee Creighton Photography, who kindly captured the day and made the afternoon a complete BLAST!

At Tina’s, besides having an absolute BLAST, we had some delicious food. We actually had the honor of having Tina explain the menu and foods to us. When she delivered the gorgeous tower of finger sandwiches, scones, and desserts, I was blown away!

My favorite thing was definitely the English Breakfast Tea scone with clotted cream. I mean, WHEW. It was the best! Of course, I had a pour of English Breakfast Tea with cream and sugar, because it’s always my favorite! Also, a side note is that the green looking cheese has sage running through it and O M G. It was pretty much my favorite cheese ever. And that’s saying a lot!

If you fancy a really good time, some relaxation, and a bit of a special overall feeling- head to Tina’s! Grab your mom, your daughter, or your best girlfriends and make an afternoon of it. I promise you, it will be such a fun time!

Special thanks to Kelli for inviting me on this excursion, to Tina for hosting us, and to Kaylee for the gorgeous photos!
