Brett and I were lucky enough to celebrate with some of our dear friends this weekend. Kathy and Liza got married and it was lovely and wonderful!! The night before, we went out to a bar here in Indy for a bit of pre-wedding celebration. It was a great time meeting some new people and celebrating love! Beforehand, Brett and I had dinner at a barbecue place downtown and then got some ice cream and walked around. (Can you say YUMMO to Blue Moon ice cream?!?! If you’ve tried it, you know!) It was such a lovely night and I was feeling pretty, so I decided to have him snap a…

So, I guess my outfit isn’t the TOTAL focus of this post. I really just wanted to talk a ton about my new hair. Here are the details of my outfit, since it’s still super cute. It doesn’t mean you can’t dress to flatter your size, but don’t dress to HIDE your size! Celebrate yourself at every stage of life. I celebrated myself when I was 300+ pounds. I celebrated myself when I lost 45 pounds. Now, I celebrate myself even though I’ve gained 20 pounds back! On to the point: I am wearing stripes, a short skirt that’s high-waisted, and a…

There’s more to this picture than just my pasty white legs. (That gift is year-round, friends!) This is an adorable outfit I only got to wear for breakfast because I had to wear a jacket for the rest of the day. We went to breakfast at some random diner, where Brett complained because his choice of “scrambled eggs” cost about $7 in USD. (He hates spending money…which is probably the best quality I ever could have found in a partner.) We went on to wander around some shopping centers and purchase my Burberry scarf. (I told you a man who hates spending money was what I needed!) It was…
