PCOS Symptom Synopsis: Beginner’s Guide to Acne Prevention

    05/15/2014 /

Blog 7 in Series: PCOS If you don’t know what PCOS is, then please take the time to read the first post in this series, which can be found here. Walk in to any drug store, Sephora, Ulta, etc. and you will be bombarded with thousands of products to “cure acne.” If you are beginning, it can be such a difficult task to choose the right face wash or creams and treatments to use. I want to help walk you step by step to choosing the best products to help with your acne. (This is short of going to the Dermatologist, which I ALWAYS recommend. Reminder, I am not a doctor. I am just…

PCOS Symptom Synopsis: Cystic & Hormonal Acne

    05/08/2014 /

Blog 6 in Series: PCOS If you don’t know what PCOS is, then please take the time to read the first post in this series, which can be found here. The Nitty Gritty: The dictionary (Google) tells me that… “Acne is a skin condition that causes pimples or “zits.” This includes whiteheads, blackheads, and red, inflammed patches of skin.” Well, duh, Google! Many women with PCOS have cystic or hormonal acne. It’s mainly caused by a hormonal imbalance, much like women who have regular periods experience during PMS. They can be extremely irritating and painful, but luckily, in many cases, it can be controlled by good hygiene, which isn’t the case with many other…

    Glam Glow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment

    02/13/2014 /

Being a victim of dry skin is rough. (Punny, huh?) But really, it is. It makes applying makeup an absolute terror. It makes you look like you have some sort of flaky disease. It’s improved the texture of my skin incredibly thus far, but I still have my dry moments. Anyway, on to my opinion of the Glam Glow Thirstymud Hydrating Treatment. To apply, you spread a thin layer of the serum-moisturizer feeling treatment on your face.…

    Glam Glow Super-Mud Mask

    08/05/2013 /

Glam Glow Super-Mud Mask   I get probably 20-25 samples per month. I usually try 2-5 of them per month. However, I was super excited to see a little packet of Glam Glow’s Super-Mud mask in my box of samples. My samples had gotten so out of control that I had to clean out my samples. I also have NO CLUE where I got this sample from either. Possibly Sephora? Maybe Glossybox? I’m not entirely sure. But obviously, it didn’t phase me at the time. But upon a second look, I had become all the wiser…and set this on top of my vanity to try out. OH. WOW. Guys, this…
