Athleisure All Day – Where to Buy Plus Size Activewear

With athleisure being “all the rage” right now, and being a soccer mom keeping it’s popularity for pretty much forever, it’s about time I do a round-up of the best places to get plus size activewear.

We’re looking for quality, price, practicality, and cuteness, obviously. Some options have all these things, some just have a few. I’m sharing my 5 favorite places to score plus size activewear from, and picking favorite pieces to tempt you a little bit as well. Check them out below!

Nike

I said it before, but Nike has great plus size basics with awesome quality. I loved their plus size line before it was cool, AKA before anyone even knew they had one. They recently expanded their line (a teeny-tiny bit) and have started letting everyone know they have a plus size range! My favorites are below, and most are tested and LOVED. (Previously mentioned post.)

Old Navy

Old Navy is a go-to for me in general. With their sizing in store up to XXL and their generous discounts on items purchased online and returned in store, they usually have a pretty good selection of clothes you can just walk in and buy. Online, they have an even wider range, and go up to a generously sized 4X! If you want some pretty good quality athletic clothing at a great price, ON is going to give you that! Here are a few of my current favorites on the site.

Calvin Klein

Yeah, you read that right! CK has a really great athletic line that reads a BIT more on the athleisure side. If you like to LOOK like you work out while not reeeeally working out, CK is going to give you some great pieces that are SO SOFT and will make you look hella cool. They’re good to work out in too, but I like my CK athleisure wear for more of a Starbucks & Target run.

Forever 21

Forever 21 doesn’t always perform with great quality, but if you’re the type of gal who basically needs a whole WARDROBE for your workout gear and need everything to be SUPER CUTE, this is a great option. I’ve found some AWESOME quality things at F21, and I’ve also had a few not-so-lasting pieces. My suggestion is to feel them, try them on, check out the fabrication and the construction. You know if it’s something you just HAVE to have and it’s $15- go for it. If you’re looking for a bit more substance, probably scoot on over to the next option!

Lane Bryant

If you have a bit more to spend, I would say Lane Bryant has some really great quality pieces with an emphasis on SUPPORT. Their Livi Active line is trendy and the sports bras actually DO THEIR JOB. I say this is a win, and for that reason (not to mention how cute the stuff is) LB is a great choice for workout gear.
