If you watched my last video, you will know that hair loss and PCOS go together hand in hand. I already talked about my day to day products and how I cope with minimal hair loss, but I know a lot of you ladies are suffering from more severe hair loss and are looking for a larger solution. I have 7 solutions that have a wide range of pricing. I would say some of these will be investments while some will be periodic treatments and some will be part of a daily lifestyle. If you want to know my 7 suggestions for proactively dealing with hair loss, continue to read on.

7 Proactive Solutions for PCOS Hair Loss

Aveda Invati Hair Care System– I’ve heard great things about this hair care system. It’s made up of a shampoo, conditioner, and a scalp revitalizer. Of course, you can buy them all separately as well. It claims to reduce hair loss by 33%! I’m tempted to try it to lessen the minimal hair fallout I have now, but it is a bit on the pricey side. A drugstore dupe would probably be the Fall Fight Fortifying Shampoo by Garnier Fructis. (I think I will just wait until I can splurge on the Aveda one.)

Phyto Hair Treatments– Phyto is a ritzy hair care line out of Paris. This scalp treatment has a lot of really natural ingredients in it and is said to extend the life cycle of your hair. It’s $65 for a 3 month supply and is to be used bi-annually. The cool thing about it is that it’s supported by 4 patents and increases density in the hair and thickens the diameter of each hair strand.

Biotin– This vitamin is well known for promoting good skin and hair growth. It’s an easy, inexpensive step to begin working your body from the inside to promote healthier hair and less fallout. (It just won’t be so quick as some other options.)

Rogaine for Women– This product works to enlarge shrinking hair follicles. (Unlike Invati and Phyto, which both do more of a deep clean and taking care of what is there already.) This is another option for those who are finding that these other less invasive ones aren’t working.

Oscar Blandi Pronto Hair Shadow– This powder is meant to be brushed on your scalp in parts that are thinning or bald. It’s really effective in masking the thinning parts, and while it washes off at the end of the night, it can be reapplied as often as it needs to be and doesn’t take much work. The lack of chemical stimulants is a plus for many people as well.

Bellami Hair Extensions– Hair extensions are a great way to vamp up your hair and feel good about yourself in doing so. You can easily take your short style and make it long while adding volume. I highly recommend getting a good, quality brand instead of trying to get some on the cheap. With extensions, you get what you pay for! Bellami is a popular brand and if you are unsure about what color to get, you can even send them a picture of yourself in natural light and they will help guide you as well.

Hairmax Advanced 7 Lasercomb– This laser treatment is meant to stimulate and energize the hair follicle to promote hair growth. It’s a pretty expensive treatment system. This is a less expensive one than many you can find, but I would consider this a last-resort. I’m sure there are split reviews everywhere you turn, but this is one I wouldn’t invest in unless you’ve exhausted all your other options.

Whew. That was a lot. I hope you’re still with me! If you are, I hope this helps you out!
