In 2024, I wrote two blog posts. My most recent post was last week, which was a recap of the year. My only other post was about the books I read in 2023. You could say reading has had a chokehold on me in the past few years. I started out in a self-help girly rabbit-hole and have dug myself up to rereading classics, enjoying contemporary romance and fiction, magical realism, and especially literary fiction books. For years, I’ve written about my excitement for each new year. There’s just something magical about a fresh start—a blank slate ready to be filled with dreams, goals, and the unexpected joys of life. Girls, if you can wear booty shorts, rock them! I am in no way against them, but as a bigger girl, I just don’t feel super comfortable in jean booty shorts while I’m tailgating or sitting in a lawn with a few thousand other concert-goers. It’s probably because I only shave until halfway up my thigh on most days. Or because I am afraid my crotch will fall out, but I prefer a longer alternative.
