5 WAYS TO ELEVATE A SIMPLE DISH | Tangerine Garlic Beef Tacos

Once again, I am so excited to partner with Laura’s Lean to share some of my favorite ways to quickly elevate a simple dish, and a delicious recipe for Tangerine Garlic Beef Tacos with Spicy Tangerine Cream that will impress any last minute crowd! Although I have been compensated by #LaurasLean, all opinions are my own.

At my house, we LOVE Laura’s Lean beef. It always cooks up nicely with little grease, the texture is great, and flavor is so fresh. It freezes well, too! Using Laura’s Lean is one of the ways we elevate a simple dish for every day, but especially when we have company. Below are all the ways I like to elevate a simple meal to make it something special in no time!

5 WAYS TO ELEVATE A SIMPLE DISH

  1. Use quality protein / Again, we love Laura’s Lean for this, but if you are tempted to use a cheaper cut of meat to feed a crowd- DON’T! You can use the great flavor and texture to your advantage and do less work when you start with something great.
  2. Add freshness / Using fresh herbs, citrus, garlic, and other vegetables can amp up the flavors and pack a punch in a plain, one-note recipe to make it something special.
  3. Season well / Salt everything! Salt is often the thing people skimp on when they are serving a crowd, but I say to season and taste as you go! Just a shake of salt can spruce up a dish.
  4. Simplify / Sometimes we are all guilty of doing too much and trying to add in too many sides or options. Focus on the main components and make them shine. Cut a few things you won’t be able to perfect within your time frame.
  5. Make it pretty / We eat with our eyes first! Take the time you gain from simplifying and make a display that is appealing. All white dishes are an easy way to make the meal look bright and uniform.
